Transitional Summer

While so much of the country has been made to endure scorching heat this summer, those of us in the Pacific Northwest have scarcely seen the sun.

I’m going to avoid complaining about it; it is what it is. Today, officially, I will embrace it. It’s Transitional Summer.

Every year in late August we speak of wearing pieces that will carry you from late summer into fall. No more sleeveless, not yet sweater weather.

Well this year in Portland, seems it’s often overcast and cooler - at least to begin the day. Let’s just roll with it. That way if we do get some of those warmer, sunny days, it’ll just be gravy.
